This video (by expertvillage) shows us the best starting hands in Pot Limit Omaha. Not only am I not a fan of starting hand ranks in the game of Omaha (I realise theoretically they make sense, but in a game of PLO it all boils down to what draws you make on the FLOP), but the video expert is also forgetting some of my other favorites…

Double suited AK QJ, double suited AJ KQ, double suited TT99, double suited AQ KK — all very valuable imho…

The video shows the value of the drawing hand, and should show why AAA4 rainbow is not a hand you want to shove too many chips in the middle with…. (but then again, Sam Farha would play the AAA4, so who am I? )

I mean this guy is hot when it comes to the cards, but he should really work on his manliness and his English. Well done though mr. Dario — earning a FPP Porsche (I’d like FPP BMW plz!) is great, and doing that playing aggressive “I WILL NOW TAKE THIS POT AWAY FROM YOU THANKYOUVERYMUCH”-poker, that’s even better. Keep it up man!

Phil Ivey and Paul Jackson at Monte Carlo Millions

This is an amazing hand played by Phil Ivey and Paul Jackson at the Monte Carlo Millions tourney. Ivey has Jackson easily covered, which makes Jackson’s continuous aggression even more astonishing. Excellent poker by both players — excellent read by Ivey.
