The popularity of bingo is mostly due to the generosity of the game. In recent years, especially, the game of bingo has become one of the most lucrative games in the gambling world. Bingo presents players with a great opportunity to win a lot of money, as they never have to pay in a great deal of money. Bingo cards range anywhere from 1p to £5, so players are not putting much at risk in order to win some very impressive prizes. It also helps increase the odds of winning when players buy more than one card, but with jackpots topping £1000, buying a few extra cards is certainly worth the risk.

Online bingo also brings a whole new realm of winning opportunities to the industry. In a complete departure from land-based halls, online bingo operators offer players bonuses, which are extra cash prizes awarded for completing specific actions. For example, many online bingo operators offer deposit bonuses, which often double the amount of money you’ve just deposited into your online bingo account. Bonuses often do not require players to do anything outside of their regular gaming routine, so operators essentially use bonuses as a way to thank players for choosing their site!

Another interesting development is free bingo, which requires no purchasing of cards or entry fees. However, players are still eligible for great cash prizes! While free bingo awards are no bigger than £40 or £50, they present a great opportunity for players to win extra cash, especially since they do not have to pay in at all.

When many players are looking for a consistent way to begin making a reliable income through playing online poker, it is common to at least consider spending some time at learning how to crack the micro stakes poker games that are so popular. This is particularly popular for people making the transition from free poker games with play money to player for actual cash as the style of play at a micro stakes poker is often very similar to the play money tables. However, learning how to with at micro stakes poker takes both time and patience, and the super tight, aggressive style of play leaves many players who have yet to learn poker properly leaving the tables in frustration before they discover how to crack the micro stakes game.

In order for most poker players to make much of an income off of the micro stakes poker over time, it is necessary to master the particularly disciplined approach to poker playing known as grinding. Professional grinders treat playing low limit poker tables in much the same way that they would treat any other full time job. With the knowledge that a very tight but aggressive poker style will always win in the long run for ring games, they do their best to play their hands with as much discipline as possible and wait to make their profits when they are almost certain that the odds are in their favor.

While professional grinders often find a great deal of satisfaction in successfully making a reliable profit at the tables, it is very difficult for a beginning or intermediate player to master their desire to dive in and do some gambling. Because most of the players at micro stakes poker are not particularly gifted poker players, it can be very difficult to make a substantial income from playing with more loose, fun loving style, as the style of play of your inexperienced opponents will be often impossible to predict. Still, micro stakes poker tables offer a great kiddie pool for players who are relatively new to playing for cash with online poker to get used to the idea of having real money in the pot.

For more advanced users who feel that they have a discipline to give grinding out micro stakes poker a shot, they will often find advice that flies in the face of traditional poker theory in that the vast majority of professional online micro stakes grinders play many different tables at the same time. Because they are playing such a tight, aggressive game, they have learned that they are better off in the long run by generally waiting for great odds at multiple tables than they are playing the more sophisticated style of poker at higher limits or a brick and mortar table. It is important to note that this style is only suitable for ring games and is not appropriate for poker tournaments. While poker purists denounce grinding it out at the micro stakes tables as barely even playing true poker, many professionals have found this to be a reliable form of income and a great way to slowly but sure build up a sizable bank roll.

Math is an important tool in poker – not the only tool, but part of an important arsenal. To compete in any poker game, especially in an online poker game where, because of the myriad hands played, all players have access to thousands of hands of statistical data, learning the basic probabilities and odds of various poker situations becomes essential to making the right decisions. Playing free poker initially can be a good idea to learn a few math tricks.

There are some extremely intelligent people who take the math-aspect of poker to an extreme degree, applying advanced principles of game theory and Bayesian concepts to their game, but still other players of the older school of poker, players like Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, Huck Seed, armed with superior honed instincts, psychological insight, and elementary understanding of odds and probabilities, consistently place at the top of the game.

Here is one of many examples where math will guide a poker decision. Say you are playing in an online poker tournament and have 2000 in chips, from the 1500 you started with 10 players are at the table. The blinds have risen to $100-$200, and there is a $25 ante. You are in the big blind and are dealt 2-6 off suit. This is a terrible hand! But in this example, you’ll be calling with it. Here’s why. Everyone except the small blind folds. This is rare, but it’ll happen. The small blind, having suffered a bad beat, only has 500 chips left. He raises all in.

Some players who aren’t aware of the math would fold, here, but that would be a huge mistake! Consider the money that’s in the pot — with $300 from the blinds, another $225 in antes, plus the $400 added by the all-in bet of the small blind, there is $925 in the pot!! And although you have a lowly 2-6, you need only call $300 more to try to earn more than TRIPLE on your money. Against the range of hands that the small blind could have, chances are you are no worse than a 2-and-a-half to one underdog but getting 3-to-1 on a call!! Even if the small blind has AK suited, or AQ or AJ suited, you’re no worse than 32% to win!!!! That makes a call mathematically necessary! All this in addition to the increase in tournament equity simply by eliminating another player and getting closer to the money.

Without the math, you’d never have known.

Not a long way to go now, do you want to get to the WSOP Main Event? Surprisingly, it’s not as difficult as it may seem.

Keep a look out for all the Satellites or the Step tournaments at the major online poker rooms. They have made it affordable for so many people to enter and play tournament poker by entering the online tournaments, leading all the way up to the WSOP Main Event. Where else could you buy-in for as little as 10 cents and get the chance to play for the huge prizes on offer at all the WSOP events?

Instead of being something that is only available to the very best poker professionals or the rich, who can afford to buy themselves into the games. Now it is available to anyone, you can start off with a small bankroll and build yourself up.

So time to progress from the play money and free online video poker games. Look up which online tourneys to play in and qualify for the WSOP!

He has been playing poker since he was ten and even while he was pursuing his doctor’s degree from UCLA he played his favorite game online. Ferguson was born on April 11, 1963 in Los Angeles to parents who were both professors in UCLA. Chris’s father, Thomas Ferguson is a processor of game theory at UCLA. Game theory is a subject which deals with tips and tricks to maximize returns on the investments made in a game of poker, bingo and blackjack among others.

This subject was one of the favorite subjects of Chris Ferguson and helped him a lot in his game play. His affinity for poker made him a professional player of poker in the year 1994 when he took home a ransom of 1.5 million USD by defeating the great T.J. Cloutier. As per date Chris has won over 6 million USD in various poker championship and events.

Chris had an extraordinary affinity for World Series of Poker Tournament bracelets and stands the record of forty five money finishes and one win in these events. Chris was also a runner up in 2005 national poker championship and lost to Ted Forrest in the final game play. At the very first look Chris is hard to recognize as a professional poker player owing to his tall and slender physique with hair falling up to the length of his shoulders. His physique and tender style of talking fetched him a nickname of ‘Jesus’ by his competitors and friends.

At present Chris lives in California.

This really is advice only a true expert can follow in my humble opinion. By flat calling with big hands and calling the same raises with marginal hands, you will have to take a lot of difficult decisions on the flop, turn and river much more often than by playing your strong hands aggressive, and folding more hand before the flop.

To make this strategy work, you NEED to have the experience Gavin Smith has, and I wouldn’t advice it for any novice player.

Still, very good video, I enjoyed it. Thanks Gavin!

You may have heard the term maniacs if you have played some poker online. In real life these are the loose aggressive players who really play hard on with the aim of making your knees shake at every hand.
Some of these loose aggressive poker players are beginners or just really tilted.

Loose aggressive players do make money in the short run but can really waste all their chips once they face a tight aggressive player who cannot be bullied around. Here are some tips to outplay them:

Sit to the Left

If you are playing for cash, you can definitely choose where your place on the table will be. As you approach the board, you must locate the loose aggressive player and positions yourself as close to his left. This will be favorable because you can react to his plays. Sit to his right and you may just end up spending what you don’t want to spend.

Read Bluffs and Bets

Most loose aggressive players are not highly skilled poker players. They will be playing every hand that they have, be it good or bad. You need to read the situation right since they can play a raise or continuation bet even if they are playing some bad cards.

Watch out for their fanciness cause they can chase you down the river thinking that they have monster hands when they’re just holding a gutshot straight draw or can simply push you around.

Answer with Aggressiveness and Great Strategy

When you are against a loose aggressive maniac, you need to play your strong hands really strong. You will see your chips pile up. Play strong and make good decisions. You can make the maniac believe he has won a hand even though you have a higher chance of winning.

Play flop passive or bluff so the loose aggressive will be forced to play all his chips. See if he bites the bait and you will be bring home some stacks.

In the latest episode of High Stakes Poker Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan makes a great read and manages to pull off what could easily be called the best bluff of televised poker. That deep stack high stakes poker is a hard thing to master is evident when durrrr manages to get reigning world champion Peter Eastgate to lay down trips and Barry Greenstein to fold pocket aces in a $130 k pot. There are not many players that would dare to make a $100 k bluff in this spot.

That WSOP champ Eastgate is out of his league here is pretty evident, hopefully his sponsor PokerStars can give him a nice online poker bonus to help him get his bankroll back on track after the beating he is taking in the show. Durrrr shows once and for all that he’s one of the top high stakes players in the world when he makes a side bet that Eastgate folded the best hand.

High Stakes Poker season five has got a very promising start and I’ve heard rumors that there’s a million dollar pot coming up.
