Gavin Smith protecting himself by Flat Calling
This really is advice only a true expert can follow in my humble opinion. By flat calling with big hands and calling the same raises with marginal hands, you will have to take a lot of difficult decisions on the flop, turn and river much more often than by playing your strong hands aggressive, and folding more hand before the flop.
To make this strategy work, you NEED to have the experience Gavin Smith has, and I wouldn’t advice it for any novice player.
