Poker can be a bitch.

Seriously, poker can be a bitch — No Limit Hold’em in particular can be very very bitchy. Here’s my painful story of the night.
Cash game, $5/$10 blinds. Bought in for $1000 and quickly accumulated a lot of chips. After a couple hours I was steady at $7000, playing my best game (as everyone does when they’re winning, it’s so much fun playing with a big stack and with a clear head)… I pick up AA in the small blind and am happy to see a raise and a re-raise in front of me. The re-raise was to $400 and I decide not to play that hand out of position and make a BIG re-raise. I make it $3200. Initial raiser folds and re-raiser moves in for about $9000. I chuckle, tell him I know he must have KK or the other remaining aces and I call. He flips over KK.
The flop comes J87, turn K, river 2.
What.
A.
Cooler.
Decided not to rebuy due to me absolutely steaming — just got home — time for bed.
Poker’s a bitch.

People should just say the hand is over after such a showdown! Take pot, next hand!
