Taking a break from poker for a short while

Just came back from a night filled with bad beats in what turned out to be an expensive cash game. Aces got cracked twice, twice when I went in with by far the best hand (moved in pre-flop ones after a raise and a re-raise before me, turned over aces, got cracked by AQ (go figure) who made a set of queens on the river — and check-shoved after the flop after it was king high, got called by an open-ended straight draw who made his hand on the turn). But my flopped nut straight that got caught by a guy with top pair (made runner runner full house) pretty much did it for me… Second check-shove situation that got called down by a donk, second time donk sucked out. Different donks, luckily.
I feel I need to take a little break. Not only was this an expensive night — it also made me unhappy. I play poker for fun, not to feel bad. I’ll be back in a couple weeks, for now — I’ll be enjoying some blackjack. ;)
